The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

ANDREI DUNCA, 35, of Manor Farm Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving without insurance on the A32 in West Meon on May 5, 2024. He was banned from driving for six months and given six points on his licence. He must pay a fine of £80, prosecution costs of £110 and a £32 surcharge.

MAREK GACH, 56, of Deacon Road, Southampton, admitted a charge of failing to comply with an indication given by a traffic sign – a red-light traffic signal - in Winchester on July 31, 2024. He was handed a six-month driving ban and given three points on his licence and ordered to pay a £92 fine. He must also pay costs of £110 and a £37 surcharge.

ANDREW READ, 51, of High Lawn Way, Havant, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding after he was caught driving a Mini Cooper at 108mph on the M27 eastbound near Fareham on February 1, 2024. He was fined £439 and given six points on his licence. He must pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £176 surcharge.

DANIEL HICKS, 40, of Thames Close, West End, Southampton, admitted a charge of exceeding a 30mph speed limit after he was caught driving a Mercedes at 52mph on the A272 in Cheriton on June 6, 2024. He was fined £450 and given six points on his licence. He must also pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £180 surcharge.

DARREN HANSON, 53, of Bottomley Road, Todmorden, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding after he was recorded driving a Tesla at 69mph on the M27 westbound between Hedge End and Eastleigh on January 24, 2024, when a 60mph limit was in force. He was fined £100 and given three points on his licence. He must also pay a £40 surcharge.
