A road near Portchester is set to shut for tree clearance work.
Nelson Lane will be closed between its junctions with Hill Road and Portsdown Hill Road.
The closure is to allow Hampshire County Council to carry out tree and vegetation clearance near powerlines.
The work is expected to start today and will be carried out by Chaffin Works.
The closure is expected to last 24 hours a day until the work is completed.
An alternative route has been set up along Skew Road and Portsdown Hill Road.
The closure will be in place for a maximum of six months, although the work is expected to be completed sooner.
