The M27 has been named as one of the UK's biggest hotspots for breakdowns.
It has been revealed that a total of 4,804 breakdown incidents were recorded on the M27 in 2024.
This equates to around 200 incidents reported per mile on the road, which runs from Cadnam to Portsmouth.
This puts the 27.9-mile road as the fourth biggest in the UK for breakdowns per mile.

This is according to data gathered by motor insurance company GoCompare via freedom of information requests to National Highways.
Top of the list was the M25 with a total of 27,335 reported incidents in 2024, or 238 breakdowns per mile.
Second was the M23 with 224 incidents per mile, followed by the M1 with 202.
