An Italian restaurant in Barrowford has closed suddenly after three years – but something exciting is set to take its place.

Rosa Barrowford, in Gisburn Road, announced it has closed with “immediate effect” on Monday (June 2), after three years.

A restaurant specialising in tapas, pizza and sangria is set to open in its place.

It will be called Lulu’s - Tapas, Pizza and Sangria and is set to launch at the end of June.

It will feature classic tapas dishes, stone-baked pizzas and cocktails.

The new owner, Kieran, has been approached for comment and further details.

A spokesperson for Rosa Barrowford, formerly Quattro Ristorante, said: “After three fantastic years in Barrowford, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Rosa with immediate effect.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support and love we’ve received from our amazing customers over the years. While this chapter closes, we believe the space is ready for a fresh lease of life…

“Introducing Lulu’s - tapas, pizza and sangria… launching late June.
