A draft housing strategy for older residents has gone out to public consultation.
Fareham Borough Council has launched the consultation on its Later Living Strategy, which outlines housing options, support, and application processes for residents aged 55 and over seeking affordable housing in the borough.
The council wants to ensure the strategy is clear and accessible, and is encouraging feedback from the public through a short survey.
Councillor Fred Birkett, executive member for housing at Fareham Borough Council, said: "The well-being of all Fareham residents is crucial, and no group is more important than those living in the borough’s later living accommodation.
"The council takes provision of suitable accommodation very seriously and this new ‘Later Living’ strategy seeks to ensure the services we offer fit the bill.
"I encourage all residents with an interest in this area to read the policy and provide feedback via the consultation survey."
More information is available at fareham.gov.uk/consultations.
The consultation is open until July 18.
The Later Living Strategy is part of the council’s Corporate Strategy, under Priority One: Provide Housing Choices.
Fareham Borough Council serves the area between Portsmouth and Southampton, including the wards of Fareham, Portchester, Stubbington, Hill Head, Titchfield, Park Gate, Warsash, Locks Heath, and Sarisbury.
