An award-winning singer-songwriter will perform in Poole this October.

Scott Matthews, who won the Ivor Novello award for best song musically and lyrically for his 2007 single Elusive, will play a solo show at the Lighthouse on Thursday, October 23.

Matthews made his mark on the music scene with his debut album, Passing Stranger, which blended folk, rock, blues and Eastern-inspired songwriting.

This album earned him critical acclaim and set the stage for his success in the music industry.

Following his debut, Matthews joined several international sell-out tours, sharing the stage with renowned artists like Rufus Wainwright, Robert Plant and the Foo Fighters.

His subsequent albums saw collaborations with musical icons such as Robert Plant and bassist Danny Thompson.

His work has been praised by musicians such as Ed O’Brien of Radiohead and legendary musician Robert Plant.

Matthews' music, praised for its dexterity and experimental approach, has consistently intrigued fans and critics alike.

His recent albums, including the audacious New Skin, have continued to push musical boundaries.

His latest work, Restless Lullabies, is an acoustic reimagining of his previous album, New Skin, stripping away electronic elements to reveal a pure, subliminal listening experience.

This new album includes collaborations with soul-jazz singer Krystle Warren.

The Lighthouse show is a chance for fans to experience Matthews' ever-evolving solo performance.

Tickets for the show are available through the Lighthouse website or by calling 01202 280000.
