A long-serving reverend has retired from his role after years of dedicated service.
Reverend Mike Shrubsole, who was the pastoral leader for Trinity United Church, Crowe Hill Methodist Church, Brockenhurst Methodist Church and Fordingbridge United Reformed Church, has decided to step down.
He has been a source of comfort and inspiration to many and has also been deeply passionate about environmental issues and wildlife studies.
A spokesperson said: "As June arrives, we bid a warm and heartfelt farewell to Reverend Mike Shrubsole, who retires after years of dedicated service to our community.
"Reverend Mike has been a guiding light for many, offering wisdom, compassion and unwavering support to those in need.
"Having served as the pastoral leader for Trinity United Church, Crowe Hill Methodist Church, Brockenhurst Methodist Church, and Fordingbridge URC, Reverend Mike has touched countless lives with his kindness and commitment.
"His presence has been a source of comfort and inspiration, fostering a strong sense of unity and faith among congregants."
"As he steps into retirement, we celebrate his legacy and express our deepest gratitude for his years of service," the church added.
"We wish you joy, peace and many fulfilling countryside walks in this new chapter of your life."
