A man allegedly swore at a woman and punched her car wing mirror, smashing the glass in the process.
Between 2.40pm and 2.55pm on May 12, an unknown man approached and reportedly verbally abused a woman in her 20s at the car park of Hythe Library.
Hampshire police believe that the man swore at the woman and then punched her car wing mirror.
Officers are now ramping up their investigation as CCTV has been released in hopes of identifying a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

He is white, in his 20s, five-foot nine-inches tall with brown hair.
He has facial hair and police have said that he has a "large build".
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
"If you were in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed anything of it, or you think you may know the identity of the man described above, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44250207272.
"We’d also like to hear from you if you have any footage of the incident, including CCTV, dash cam, mobile phone or doorbell camera."
