A care home resident has returned to an Edwardian estate for one final tour.

Margret, who lives at Snowdrop Place Care Home in Hedge End was a long-time volunteer tour guide at Polesden Lacey in Surrey and recently fulfilled her wish to return to the historic home.

Gemma Moss, activities coordinator at Snowdrop Place, said: "Margret spoke fondly of her time at Polesden Lacey.

"She lit up whenever she shared her stories.

During her visit, Margret led an intimate tour for care home staff and members of the Polesden Lacey team, sharing personal memories and stories.

Margret said: "Polesden Lacey holds such a special place in my heart.

"To come back, and walk through those rooms felt like stepping back into a very happy chapter of my life."
