Internationally acclaimed Danish saxophonist and composer Cecilie Strange will perform in Southampton.
Cecilie is set to grace the stage at the Turner Sims concert hall on September 26, as part of the Sounds of Denmark series.
She will be introducing "Beech," her fifth album released in May 2025.
The compositions in "Beech" are inspired by locations that have significantly influenced her life and artistry. Cecilie's performance will be a double bill with Astral Cinema, a quartet known for their cinematically influenced, original soundscapes.
The group features renowned jazz bassist Anders Christensen, Mercury Prize-nominated drummer Sebastian Rochford, award-winning Danish film composer Jonas Struck, and Grammy-winning musician Nikolaj Torp Larsen.
Astral Cinema will also perform at the event.
Tickets for the Sounds of Denmark event at Turner Sims are still available and can be purchased directly from the Turner Sims website.
The event will start at 8pm.
