An Isle of Wight town centre cafe is under new management.

Emily Pedreschi, who has recently successfully reopened The Galley in East Cowes, is leading the rebrand of Valentines Cafe, on Scarrots Lane in Newport.

Valentines will now become a botanical cafe, based on plants and healthy eating - opening on Monday, June 16.

Valentines is a family run cafe, previously managed by Emily's husband, Irving.

Irving will still have a major role as the cafe evolves.

Emily hopes the cafe will capture the Island's nature and beauty, and bring it into the centre of Newport.

The new cafe will serve smoothie bowls, pasta salads and fresh lemonades of differing flavours.

Concept images show the cafe to be decorated in green plants, with soft natural hues.

Emily has already put together the new menu, which uses Isle of Wight Tomatoes and Isle of Wight garlic, as well as serving breakfasts and soups.

Valentines Botanic Cafe will build on the success of The Galley, which Emily reopened in April.
