The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
RAAM JOSHI, 36, of Clarendon Place, Leamington Spa, pleaded guilty to driving 57mph in a 50mph zone on on M4 at Reading on September 12 last year. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £132 and a fine of £330. He was also banned from the road for six months and was handed three penalty points.
ANTHONY CLARKE, 54, of Queen Street, Cubbington, Leamington Spa, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 40mph zone on the M1 near Milton Keynes on September 13 last year, driving at 48mph. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £141 and a fine of £352. He was also handed three penalty points.
WAQAR AHMED, 33, of Honeycroft Hill, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, pleaded guilty to speeding on the North Orbital Road, Denham, in a 30mph zone by driving 37 mph. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £53 and a fine of £13. He was also handed three penalty points.
ADAM BENNETT, 39, of Vale View, Walsall, pleaded guilty to speeding in a BMW on the M1 near Milton Keynes in a 70mph zone on September 13 last year. He was caught driving at 83mph. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £96 and a fine of £241. He was also handed three penalty points.
AQIB MEHMOOD, 35, of Warrington Avenue, Slough, pleaded guilty to failing to provide identification of a driver when ordered to when stopped in Banbury between December 16 last year and January 13 this year. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £163 and a fine of £408. He was also handed six penalty ponts.
HARRY FRAIN, 25, of Ayrton Senna Road, Tilehurst, Reading, pleaded guilty to failing to provide information on the identity of a Volkswagen in Banbury between December 11 last year and January 8 this year. He must pay costs of £90, a victim surcharge of £184 and a fine of £461. He was also handed six penalty points.
LEWIS WEST, 44, of Godfrey Close, Headington, Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notifications of being on the sex offenders register after failing to report to a police station and complete an annual notification requirement in Oxford on October 26 last year. He must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £32 and a fine of £80.
REECE HEAVER, 29, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a class B drug, namely cannabis, on April 17 2022. He was handed a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and an order was made for the drugs to be destroyed.
NICOLLAS LOUZADA-GOMES, 25, of Bramling Cross, Longworth, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to one count of being in possession of a folding lock knife and a class B drug, namely cannabis, on February 17 this year in Oxford. He must pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114. He must also complete six months of drug rehabilitation and 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. Orders were also made for the knife and the drugs to be destroyed.
ANTHONY NJOGU, 37, of Thomas Crouch Drive, Radley, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to drink driving in a grey Peugeot 3008 GT PureTech on the A40 near Wolvercote Roundabout on March 17 this year with 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified on the same occasion. He must complete alcohol rehabilitation for 12 months and 200 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He was also banned from the road for 38 months and must pay costs of £85.
