A Southampton shop owner has said she's "concerned nothing is being done,' after her store was vandalised, following a string of anti-social behaviour incidents in Shirley Precinct.
Nnenna Okonkwo was closing her Nigerian food store, Sunnyday International Foods, on Friday night, shortly after 8pm, when a teenage girl, who was banned from the store, attempted to gain entry.
Upon being declined entry to the shop, the teenager then kicked the shop window, causing glass to crack, which is expected to cost more than £3,000 to replace.
Speaking to the Echo, Nnenna said: "We opened a year ago and never had any problems until the last month.
"On May 10 we had to ban some children who tried to take a customer's Sainsbury's trolley, that had their money in.
"I just had to say 'no, we don't want any of that,' and ban them from the store, because you have to consider customers’ needs as well as your own.

"It's always the same children who are in the precinct, they think they're in charge because you're often powerless to stop them.
"Then on Friday when we were closing, one of the young girls we'd had problems with previously didn't want to leave the doorway and seemed to be encouraged by an adult nearby, who I don't think was old enough to be her father.
"Then when I wasn't looking, she had her back to the window and kicked it with her heal."
Nnenna called the police but was told that officers were away on priority calls.
The shop owner said businesses would come together to support each other and try and prevent similar acts of vandalism in the future.
She added: "I think everyone has had enough of the anti-social behaviour.
"It's made the businesses group together. We now have whistles, so if there's any trouble it just takes one person to signal for help, and we can all be there."
Following the incident, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Police were called at 8.32pm on Friday, May 30, following an incident of criminal damage in Shirley when a shop front window was smashed. The matter is under investigation.”
