An MP has seen firsthand the work of a charity supporting war-torn Ukraine as conflict rages on.
New Forest for Ukraine welcomed Sir Julian Lewis MP to its aid hub at Ampress Lane, Lymington, on May 31 for a tour of the operation.
During the visit, the New Forest East MP was told about the charity's plans to send its 650th generator to Ukraine by the end of the year.
He also learned about their increased level of supply in response to the continuing attacks on Ukraine, which have resulted in approximately five million people being displaced and thousands injured or left amputees.
Mandy Haynes, head of New Forest for Ukraine (NFFU), and John Allison, its former head, provided an overview of the donation, sorting, packing, and transport process.
This covers a wide range of goods including mobility and care aids, hygiene and sanitary products, food, and non-prescription medical supplies.

Speaking on the visit, Sir Julian Lewis said: "What is so impressive is the huge generosity of those who donate medical equipment, clothes, and other goods week after week and the amazing efficiency with which their donations are delivered to people who need them most.
"With a tough winter yet to come this year for Ukraine, NFFU are hoping to reach their target of 650 generators for Ukraine.
"If you have one of those gathering dust in your attic or garage, then please consider making it available."
Currently, the charity is focusing on the needs of Ukrainians during the hot summer, where temperatures can reach 40 degrees.
They stay in regular contact with vetted NGO teams in Ukraine to remain updated on needs on the ground and ensure the safe delivery of supplies.
Sir Julian was shown examples of locally donated generators being serviced at the aid hub, ready for transport to Ukraine.
He was informed about the charity's preparations for the winter season, during which more attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are anticipated.
Mandy Haynes, head of NFFU, also appealed for new or used generator donations, which will be sent to communities in Ukraine to help them combat the anticipated attacks on their power, light, and heat.
