A man has been seriously injured after a brawl in the early hours of the morning.
Police officers were called shortly before 6.15am today to reports of a fight involving two men.
The incident took place in South Street in Gosport.
Officers attended and upon arrival found a 31 year-old man with a head injury and serious injuries to his back.
Ambulance services were also called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: "We were called at 6:14am today (Saturday, May 31) with reports of a fight involving two men on South Street in Gosport.
"Officers attended and located a 31 year-old man with a head injury and serious injuries to his back.
"Ambulance services attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
"An investigation has been launched and enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances."
