The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
MARK COLLISON, 46, of Ruskin Road, Eastleigh, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft after he stole dairy products worth £27 from Sainsbury’s on May 23, and washing detergent and a basket worth £57 from Sainsbury’s on March 23. He also admitted a charge of attempted theft after trying to steal three bottles of alcohol from Sainsbury’s on February 18. He was handed a three-month prison sentence as he has “a flagrant disregard for people and their property”. He must pay £27 compensation. No order for costs was made.
KELLY HUTCHINGS, 37, of Kitchers Close, Hythe, admitted a charge of drug driving after she was caught with more than 240 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood, and a charge of driving while disqualified, both on the A31 in Alton on March 12, 2024. She also admitted a charge of failing to surrender to custody at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on February 5. She was handed a one-year community order and must complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work. She was banned from driving for two years. She must pay prosecution costs of £85.

DAVID FISHER, 37, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after he stole cider worth £96 from One Stop in Southampton on January 17. He was handed an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £96 compensation. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85.
MARLEY WARNER, 30, of Shelley Rise, Farnborough, admitted a charge of theft after stealing chocolate £162.60 from Waitrose in Eastleigh on October 7, 2024. Warner was handed a 28 day prison sentence due to having a “disregard for court orders” and previous convictions. No order for costs was made.
