"Mummy, why would anyone want to hurt my windows?"
That was the devastated question from a six-year-old girl after yobs smashed rocks through her bedroom window in a terrifying late-night attack.
The horrifying incident carried out by three men on a property on Allbrook Knoll, Eastleigh, saw rocks thrown through three windows of a family home and eight tyres slashed.
Mum Erica, who did not want to be further named for fear of another attack, was left "terrified" by the attack, which she says has traumatised her daughter.

Erica has no idea why they were targeted on May 11 at 1.20am in this seemingly coordinated attack. She runs a palliative care charity, and her husband also works in care.

The family were all in bed when the noise started. At first, Erica and her husband thought someone was inside the house, and went to investigate, only to find smashed windows.
Running to check on their son and daughter, they found three rocks had landed on their daughter's bed, and she cut her foot on the broken glass.

Erica said: "When I went into my daughter's room, she was crying. If they had hit her head... she's six years old. That's the worst bit. My daughter is traumatised.
"We have lived here for years, we work full time, and we get on well with our neighbours. The only thing I can think of is that they have the wrong ideas.
"We now don't feel secure in our own home. If one of us had been sitting downstairs, we would have been significantly hurt."
A video shared with the Echo shows three hooded individuals dash around her driveway, puncturing tires, before taking rocks from their pockets to pelt at the windows.
Erica has been forced to take time off work due to the damage, which has cost hundreds of pounds to repair, even with insurance.

"Our daughter wants to know why; all she wants to know is when the police will get the bad guys," added Erica.
"We have no idea who these young lads are, to feel they have the right to come and do that to someone's home."
Police are appealing for more information and would like to speak to three men in connection with the incident, described as wearing all black and white trainers, whose faces were covered.
