A 38-year-old man has been left with serious, potentially life-changing injuries after a hit-and-run in Sarisbury Green.
Police say they were called after a dark-coloured car hit a pedestrian, and did not stop, on Montefiore Drive shortly after 3am this morning.
The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment of serious, potentially life-changing injuries to his pelvis.
Police say his condition is described as stable.
The road was closed throughout the morning for investigations.

The vehicle and those involved in the incident are still being sought, and no arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Detectives believe that there may have been two people acting suspiciously in the area trying car door handles shortly before this incident.
"Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries, and we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have doorbell or dashcam footage that can assist us.
"Additionally, if you think you have been a victim of vehicle crime in the area, please contact us."
