A care home group has won an award for its innovative approach to nutrition and hydration.
Vauxian Care Home Group, which has homes in New Milton and Bournemouth, was named the winner of the Innovation in Best Nutrition and Hydration Support category at the Dorset Care Awards 2025.
The judges praised Vauxian for its "person-centred, forward-thinking approach to hydration" and the "significant improvements to residents’ wellbeing."
Both of the group's homes, Osborne Lodge Care Home in New Milton and Adamscourt Care Home in Bournemouth, were selected to participate in an NHS initiative focused on improving hydration in care settings.
Hannah Cook, spokesperson for Vauxian Care Home Group, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award.

"It is a true testament to the dedication, compassion, and innovation of our incredible teams at Adamscourt and Osborne Lodge.
"Supporting the health and dignity of our residents is at the core of everything we do."
The Dorset Care Awards judging panel added: "This year saw an exceptional number of high-quality entries.
"To be shortlisted as a finalist was a major achievement — to win is simply outstanding."
This award follows Vauxian’s Nursing Times Award win in February for the same project.
