A new Turkish bar and grill has opened in Southampton and promises to bring new flavours to residents in the city.

Bodrum Kitchen Turkish Bar and Grill is the newest restaurant on Portsmouth Road in Woolston and promises to bring something different to the Southampton dining scene.

Formerly the business operated as Bodrum Kitchen Café – the kitchen has reinvented itself into a gill and bar.

Owner of the Bodrum Kitchen, Ismail Agcan, 38, said: “We opened around three weeks ago and today we are welcoming customers for our grand opening.

“Woolston already has a number of cafes, so we have re-branded as a Turkish grill and customers are really loving the food that we serve.

“We have worked hard to change the management, design of the restaurant and our menu to give Southampton residents a Turkish dining option.

“Woolston is missing a BBQ grill option that also serves seafood and pasta – and now we are here to bring something new.”

All the dishes served at Bodrum Kitchen are available to eat at the restaurant or take away.

Included in the menu are the adana kebab with yogurt and the lamb shish with yogurt priced at £17.49 and £15.99 respectively.

Mr Agcan continued: “We don’t use any frozen ingredients which I think puts in a great place to deliver some delicious food.  

“There are some popular Turkish restaurants over the Itchen Bridge but there is nothing for those looking to get a bite to eat in Woolston or this side of Southampton.

“We had some great reviews and I can’t wait for people to come and try our food.”

Bodrum Kitchen also cater for those who are diary free and vegan as well as other dietary requirements.
