Redbridge flyover must be past its time.
It must be at least 50 years old and the amount of vehicles using it and the sheer weight of some of them must be putting a large strain on the bridge.
You have large articulated lorries with weights up to 44 tons regularly using it.
With the thousands of new homes that have been built west of the flyover in the last fifty years, it's no wonder the bridge is beginning to show its age.
There is no other route into the city except via Romsey or use the motorway when this flyover is out of action.
That only adds to the pollution.
Although it would be expensive, it's high time a complete new flyover was built to take the huge increase of traffic.
