Curves in Eastleigh is celebrating its 20th anniversary - bolstered by a nomination for the Daily Echo Gym of the Year 2025.

The nomination for the health club in Eastleigh recognises their support for thousands of women.

Curves is on the shortlist which is up for the public vote. Echo readers can vote using the slip printed in the Echo each day this week and next.

Located in Upper Market Street, the specialist gym prides themselves as a sanctuary for all women regardless of age or ability.

The Eastleigh gym has helped members from 14 to 93 years old find physical and mental resilience with a fitness circuit designed specifically for women.

Among some members' stories, one of them recovered smoothly from having both knees replaced in one year, after doctors credited Curves training for the success.

The gym believes that what makes the business special is the uplifting, inclusive, and deeply connected atmosphere.

Owner Michelle Goodyear said: "Curves Eastleigh isn’t just a gym — it’s a sanctuary of strength, support, and sisterhood.

"As the owner, living with multiple sclerosis has given me a deep personal connection to our mission.

"It’s driven my passion for service and shaped our gym into a place where every woman, no matter her age or ability, is supported and celebrated.

"We often say we’re like family — and we mean it.

"We Are Family by Sister Sledge is more than a song to us; it’s our anthem, our vibe, and our commitment to one another.

Curves Eastleigh will proudly celebrate 20 years as a small business serving an incredible community this September.

Nominated for the Daily Echo's Gym of the Year award, readers can take part by voting using the slip printed in the Daily Echo each day this week to show their support.
