A care home has created a sensory balcony garden for Dementia Action Week.

Florence Court Care Home, in Fareham, designed the garden on its Memory Lane Floor to "stimulate the senses and spark joyful memories."

The garden, filled with herbs, flowers, and textured plants, was created during Dementia Action Week, which ran from May 20 to May 26.

The home said the project was "more than just gardening" and was about "connection, comfort, and creating meaningful moments together."

"There were some very special memories shared by residents and staff as we reminisced about our most precious memories and learned more about dementia together."
