The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton is opening its doors to the public.
The centre will welcome visitors on June 8 to celebrate World Ocean Day.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to explore the UK's leading ocean research centre.
Visitors can enjoy interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and live talks.
Families and learners of all ages can enjoy NOC's annual open day event (Image: National Oceanography Centre) They will also have access to the engineering workshops.
NOC Chief Executive Dr John Siddorn said: "We’re proud to welcome our local community to explore the vital ocean research happening right here in Southampton.
"It’s a chance for people to connect with the ocean and be inspired by the incredible work happening at sea and in our world-leading facilities."
The event will also highlight the current global science programmes onboard the Royal Research Ships operated by NOC.
As the NOC is located within Southampton Docks, all visitors must register in advance.
