Plans have been lodged to knock down a two-storey detached house which is "not required" by the current owners in order to "enlarge" the garden "instead".
The application has been made on Nelson Place in Lymington in the New Forest, where the "main house and attached outbuildings" would be demolished by digger.
An application form attached for the proposed demolition says that the house is "not required by" the current owners, knocking it down so the garden can be "enlarged instead".

The site will be restored to "lawn and gravels" according to the site notice and plans show that a gravel path would be put through the site, along with new shrubs and plants.
The two-storey property was built circa 1920 and sits between Nevis, a listed home to the south, and Parr House.
Contractors carrying out the demolition may have to lift some of the patio, but the plan says that it will be "made good" and restored.
