A temporary speed restriction is set to be imposed on the A36 Salisbury Road in Totton.
Hampshire County Council has announced that the speed limit will be reduced to 30 mph between the junction with the A326 Totton Western Bypass Off Slip and the junction with Hill Street.
The restriction is to facilitate works by Ford Civil Engineering, providing a safe zone for workers.
The order will be in place from June 2 for a maximum of six months, although it is expected to last no longer than nine days for 24 hours a day.

Ford Civil Engineering will ensure access to nearby premises and notify those directly affected.
