A care home resident celebrated one year of recovery after a stroke with a disco party.
Snowdrop Place Care Home in Hedge End hosted the event for Mike, who has shown "incredible strength and determination" over the past year.
The celebration featured music, dancing, and DJ performances from James Flint and special guest DJ Hilary.
Mike was at the centre of the festivities, surrounded by friends, carers, and fellow residents.
He said: "I can’t believe it’s been a year.
"There were tough days, but with all the support I’ve had here, I kept going.
"Today was brilliant—music, dancing, and feeling like myself again. I’m so thankful."
The care home said the event was a reflection of its "commitment to nurturing not just the health but the happiness and spirit of its residents."
It was described as a "day to remember—heartfelt moments, and the triumph of resilience."
