A forecaster has warned that a tornado could hit the South East today, including Southampton.
The Met Office has warned that a brief tornado is possible in the south of England today, May 21.
In the afternoon weather forecast, meteorologist Alex Burkill said: "Some fairly hefty showers across southern parts.
"There's a risk of some thunder, even a bit of lightning and hail mixed in.
"It's not out of the question that we could see a funnel cloud, maybe even a brief tornado across parts of the South East."

A post shared on X reads: "With heavy showers in the south today there's a risk of thunder and lightning, and possibly some short-lived funnel clouds or even a brief tornado."
Today's weather saw the end of a "prolonged dry spell", with rain likely to continue in Southampton until 5pm.
This comes after May had the driest spring on record with little rainfall.
