A pensioner has denied failing to notify DWP of her inheritance.
Jayne Phillips, 76, appeared at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday.
Phillips, wearing a pink jumper and carrying a pink walking stick, spoke only to confirm her name and enter her plea.
She faced a charge of failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) of a change of circumstances which would have affected her entitlement to a pension.

The court heard Phillips received £338,727.30 following the sale of a house she had inherited.
She failed to notify DWP of this between November 2018 and February 2024, and she was investigated by the Wessex Fraud Unit.
Phillips, of Meadbrook Gardens, Chandler’s Ford pleaded not guilty to the charge and will stand trial on January 14, 2025.
Judge Nicholas Rowland told her: “The trial is a long way away, so it is doubly important you keep in contact with your solicitor."
