Four newly converted electric buses have been introduced in Fareham and Gosport.
The 'repowered' diesel vehicles have been refurbished to a near-new standard and converted to electric power, providing a more environmentally friendly travel option for passengers.
This comes one year after the electrification of First Bus's Hoeford depot in Fareham and the introduction of 62 new electric buses in partnership Hampshire County Council.
The repowered buses will operate on routes across Fareham and Gosport.

By repurposing existing diesel vehicles, First Bus is extending their lifespan while avoiding the environmental impact associated with disposing of old ones.
The conversion process, carried out by UK bus manufacturer Wrightbus, involves removing the diesel engine and replacing it with an electric one.
This process significantly reduces carbon emissions, helping to combat climate change.
The newly converted electric buses have zero tailpipe emissions and will contribute to improved air quality.
The buses will also run in Portsmouth as part of a deal with Portsmouth City Council.
Gary Weaver, First Bus South’s engineering director, said: "We are proud to introduce these four converted electric buses to Portsmouth, Fareham, and Gosport.
"This initiative not only provides a second life for existing vehicles but also delivers a low-carbon, sustainable transport option that benefits both passengers and the wider community."
The introduction of these vehicles is part of First Bus’s wider strategy to transition to a fully zero-emission fleet by 2035.
