A Volkswagen driver caught speeding at 100mph has been handed a small fine for his actions.
Charles Johnson was 18 when he was recorded driving more than 30mph over the speed limit.
Johnson, now 20, was driving on the M3 southbound at junction nine, heading towards Southampton and the M27 at the time of the offence.
Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard that the incident occurred on August 28, 2023, while he was behind the wheel of the Volkswagen on the M3.
The motorway has a 70mph speed limit in force.

Johnson, of Tuckton Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding.
He appeared at court to be sentenced on May 1.
He was slapped with an £80 fine and six points on his licence.
Johnson must also pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £32 surcharge.
