Wellow Tennis Club has transformed its courts with a £25,000 community grant.
The refurbishment, completed at the end of March, replaced four worn tarmac courts with modern artificial grass surfaces.
This upgrade, funded by the Community Asset Fund (CAF), improves accessibility and safety for all players.
The new surface reduces joint impact, benefiting older residents and children.
It also allows for new initiatives like walking tennis and junior tennis camps during school holidays.
The need for refurbishment was identified through community engagement, with 97 per cent of respondents supporting the resurfacing.
Blackwater ward councillor Gordon Bailey said: "This is a fantastic example of how targeted investment can make a real difference to local communities.
"The new courts at Wellow Tennis Club are not only safer and more accessible, but they also open up exciting opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get active and enjoy sport."
