The arrival of warmer weather in the summer is an ideal time to enjoy a pint in a sunny beer garden in the Southampton area.
With there being quite a few options to pick from in the city, you want to pick somewhere that has something a bit special about it.
Therefore, we thought it might be best to ask Daily Echo readers for their recommendations.
We put out a Facebook post asking the question, and here are the responses we received.
Best Southampton pubs for a pint in the sun according to readers
More than 200 comments were left on the Facebook post, and a few establishments received multiple recommendations.
The Bittern over in Thornhill was one of those, with quite a few people waxing lyrical about it.
One person wrote: "Great indoor and outdoor live entertainment, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and Family friendly!"
Another said: "The Bittern fantastic beer garden, and outside stage."
It has been warmly received generally, earning a 4.2/5 score on Google Reviews from 300 reviews.
The Dancing Man Brewery also got a lot of love, with 11 separate mentions in total.
One reader posted: "Sat outside the Dancing Man last Saturday afternoon and it was gorgeous. Good beer too."
Another added: "Dancing man brewery.. Nice pub, beers and location."
It has also been well-rated by customers generally, earning a 4.2/5 score on Tripadvisor from 1,007 reviews.
The Stile Inn over in Shirley got three separate mentions, as one reader said: "Stile in Shirley. Great beer, atmosphere and always have something on at weekends."
Meanwhile, another Shirley establishment in The Brass Monkey got five comments of support, with one person simply saying: "Brass monkey the very best".
The Alexandra over on Bellevue Road got a small number of readers advocating for it being a quality option for a pint in the sun.
One person said: "The Alexandra in Bellevue Road, great pub, great host, music night, quiz, always a warm welcome."
Another wrote: "The Alex Southampton for a city pub. Enjoy the sunny courtyard, dog & child friendly. And a darn good refreshing pint."
A third commented: "Loving the pub garden The Alexandra Southampton in town."

Over in Nursling, The Horns Inn had a few supporters, as one said: "The Horns Inn in Nursling has a lovely garden that is a sun trap. Lovely jubbly."
Another posted: "Definitely the horns inn at Nursling, amazing pub and lovely people."
A third wrote: "The Horns Inn, lovely garden and cracking grub."
Other places that were highlighted included The Southampton Arms, The Cricketers Arms and The Saints Pub.
