Hampshire police have ramped up their investigation into a reported burglary as three men allegedly forced their way into a garage carrying a metal pipe.

An e-fit has been released of one of the men.

Nothing was stolen during the incident, which took place between 2.30pm and 2.35pm and May 3 at a garage near Green Lane in Fordingbridge.

The victim challenged one man who was holding a metal pipe.

Officers want to speak to three men in connection with the incident.

The first man, who is pictured in the e-fit, is white, around 40 years old and of a large build.

Another man was holding a metal pipe and is white, around 27 years old, approximately six-foot tall and of a large build.

The third and final man is white, around 25 years old, approximately five-foot 11-inches tall and of a large build.

They were travelling in a white unmarked Ford Transit long wheelbase.

Hampshire police said: "We would also like to hear from anyone who recalls seeing anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident.

"Do you remember seeing the vehicle, described above, travelling at speed around Whitsbury and Fordingbridge at approximately 2.30pm? If you do, where did you see it and what direction was it heading in?"
