A global conference organiser is set to bring a public-speaking presentation event to the south coast in Hampshire.
The famous TEDx talks are set to come to Gosport for the first ever TEDxGosport event on October 16, where local speakers will tell stories and have their speeches shared to the world.
The event will be a day of live talks and performances inspired by the globally recognised TED format, short and powerful talks that "spark curiosity, challenge thinking and inspire action".

Organisers are looking for stories with worldwide appeal that are rooted in Gosport.
A spokesperson for the event said: "The theme for this year's TEDxGosport event is Storytelling - What are our stories, how do they shape us and why are we unique.
"We welcome diverse speaking applications from those who live, work, reside or have a close affiliation with Gosport.
"Your talk needs to relate to Gosport but be broad enough to be relevant to audiences around the world, so please consider the key takeaways for the audience."
Those telling stories do not need to be professional speakers to apply, it just need to have a "strong connection to Gosport".
