Southampton is set to be hotter than Malta next week as temperatures are expected to soar in a sunny spell.
Despite a cloudy Monday morning, the sun is set to be shining down on Southampton again for the coming weeks.
The city is expected to be around 25 degrees on Wednesday, May 14, with fine and sunny conditions.

It could see hundreds flock to beaches across Hampshire, including Lepe Beach, Calshot and Hamble.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Dry, fine, and largely sunny conditions are expected to continue for the majority of the UK as the slow moving area of high pressure remains centred over the country.
“The weather will continue to feel warm or very warm, but it may feel cooler near the east coast. This area of high pressure is expected to remain in place through much of the following week.”
