A teenage boy has been arrested following a series of criminal damage incidents.

It follows reports that in the early hours of Tuesday, May 6, morning, windows at properties on Armfield Way and Merion Road, Botley, were damaged.

A vehicle was also damaged on Malvern Gardens, Hedge End, while entry was forced and windows damaged at Boorley Green Community Centre on Wallace Avenue.

The 14-year-old from Southampton was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of four counts of criminal damage and one of burglary with intent to commit damage.

He has been released on conditional bail and is not allowed to enter Hedge End or Botley.

Officers continue to investigate the matter and proactive patrols in areas of concern remain.
