The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
LEE BARNES, 42, of Ampthill Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after he stole 12 bottles of skin lotion worth £105.88 from Holland & Barrett in Southampton on December 16, 2024. He was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £105.88 compensation. No order for costs was made.
BENJAMIN EVETTS, 30, of Marine Drive, Paignton, admitted four charges of harassment after repeatedly contacting a woman in Southampton between February 11 to 14 which was in breach of a restraining order imposed in August 2022. He will appear before the same court on May 21.
ROBBIE JONES, 30, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to six charges of theft after he targeted Savers in The Marlands Shopping Centre between March and May, stealing various items and leaving without attempting to pay. He also admitted another charge of theft after he stole two Gillette razors worth £27.98 from Boots on Above Bar Street on March 11. He was jailed for three weeks due to the “serious nature” of the offences and “spree of shoplifting on several occasions”.

MITCHELL NEILL, 24, of Beech Gardens, Hamble-Le-Rice, admitted a charge of possession of a knife after he was caught with the weapon in Southampton on November 19, 2023. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Southampton on November 19, 2023. He is now subject to a year-long community order and must attend up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. A forfeiture and destruction order was also made for the knife.
RAJWINDER AULKH, 34, of Ardnave Crescent, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving when he was caught with 82 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, driving without insurance, and a charge of driving while disqualified, on Bassett Avenue, November 17, 2024. He also admitted a charge of assault by beating of a police officer on November 18, 2023. He is subject to a 15-month community order and must undertake at least 10 days of rehabilitation activity requirements, and 120 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 36 months and must pay prosecution costs of £85.
