A newly refurbished children's play area is now open at Portswood Recreation Ground.
Children are now able to use the new play are after an opening event on May 9, which was attended by the Portswood Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Residents celebrated the transformation of the park, which now features modern equipment after the previous structures were removed due to safety concerns.
The "fresh and vibrant" space is now ready to be enjoyed.
The police team also used the occasion to connect with residents, answer questions, and demonstrate their commitment to community safety.

They will continue to patrol the park as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure it remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Officers have encouraged families to make the most of the new facility, viewing it as a positive step towards supporting active, community-centred spaces in the city.
