The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

LEWIS GRACE, 24, of no fixed address, Southampton, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of a man in Southampton, possession of the Class A drug cocaine, and use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence on December 29, 2024. He will next appear at the same court on July 11.

ASHLEY LANE-BRYANT, 31, of no fixed address in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes S-class on Station Road, New Milton with 158 micrograms of ketamine per litre of blood in his system, exceeding the limit of legal limit of 20. He has been disqualified from driving for 52 months and fined £120.

ALBERTO-SAMSON COPACI, 22, of Arthur Road, Shirley, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Barnes Wallis Road, Fareham, with 75 micrograms of MDMA per litre of blood in his system, exceeding the legal limit of 10. He will next appear at the same court on May 20.

TYRON PROUT, 33, of Languard Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to three charges of shoplifting, relating to the theft of items valued at £14 from a Tesco store, racial or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress using words or writing, and assault by beating. All offences occurred in Portsmouth on November 2, 2023. He will next appear in Portsmouth Crown Court on May 19.

DAVID HAYWARD, 51, of Orchard Lane, Southampton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place at the Civic Centre in Southampton on October 26, 2024. He was fined £80, and ordered to pay costs of £85.

JAMIE JOHNSON, 32, of HM Prison Winchester, pleaded guilty to the theft of £146 of various chocolate items from a Tesco in Eastleigh on December 16, 2024. He was ordered to pay compensation of £146.
