Dignitaries turned out as Fareham Borough Council raised a flag to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The flag was raised on West Street and commemorated with representatives from the Armed Forces.
Commander Fraser Hunt from HMS Collingwood, accompanied by AB Louis Knight, and AB Liam Shrehorn, raised the flag for the commemorated event, with several council members in attendance.

This included the mayor and the deputy mayor of Fareham, alongside the leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Simon Martin, and CEO Andrew Wannell.
Commander Hunt said: "We are delighted to be here today, representing HMS Collingwood and acknowledging our close affiliation with Fareham Borough.
"Today we remember the bravery of all those who gave their lives for our freedom.
"We must never forget their sacrifice and valour."
The mayor of Fareham, Councillor Pal Hayre, added: "This poignant anniversary is a time to reflect on the bravery of those that served during the war."
