A pub has applied for a variation in its licence serve punters alcohol from 9am.
Admiral Taverns has asked Southampton City Council for permission to pour preliminary pints in the early morning on behalf of its pub The Windsor Castle on Shirley Road.
The watering hole, which dates back to the 1930s, was shut for 11 months before it reopened in October under the management of landlady Helen Duckett.

It closed its doors in November 2023 after Admiral Taverns said there are “inevitably instances where we have to part ways with a licensee”.
The pub also wants to stay open for an extra hour on all bank holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Documents submitted for the variation confirm that the pub wants to retain permission to sell alcohol and show films, sporting events and play live and recorded music.
