Several pets in Hampshire are looking for their forever homes, including at the RSPCA Solent branch in The Stubbington Ark.

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from The Stubbington Ark are listed below, but more can be found on the centre's website.

Simba

Gender - Male

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Cane Corso crossbreed

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Simba you can view their full profile here.

Simba is described as a friendly and affectionate dog who loves nothing more than to sit on someone's lap.

He has learnt to walk nicely on the lead, is toilet trained and can be left for short periods once settled.

Due to being a young dog, he can get a bit overexcited at times, so Simba's new family will need to commit to consistent training to help him in periods of overstimulation.

He could potentially live with children who are used to bigger dogs and are of secondary school age.

The RSPCA adds: "If you have sensible, dog-savvy children who are slightly younger, we may consider your application if everything else is a match."

Finally, Simba would benefit from a secure garden where he can run around.

Marley

Gender - Female

Age - Unknown

Breed - Lurcher

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Marley you can view their full profile here.

Marley is described as a "sweet and gentle" dog who walks well on a lead and loves human company.

She can be reactive to other dogs, but is responding well to training at the centre to help improve this.

Marley will need to be exercised in a quiet area where there are minimal dogs around.

The RSPCA adds: "Marley will need a private enclosed garden with a 6ft fence, ideally in a quiet area or with the option to drive to somewhere quiet for walks."

Ginny

Gender - Female

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Syrian hamster

Colour - Orange

If you want to adopt Ginny you can view their full profile here.

Ginny is described as a "sweet" hamster who enjoys chewing on her wooden toys and burrowing in her bedding.

She isn’t fond of handling and may try to jump out of your hands, but she will likely be calmer around it over time.

Ginny can live around other animals in a separate room and can be homed with secondary school-aged children.

The RSPCA adds: "Ginny will need a minimum of 100cm by 50cm enclosure of unbroken floor space and deep bedding for burrowing (not wood shavings)."

Clover and Corey

Gender - Not stated

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Farm/Feral

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Clover and Corey you can view their full profile here.

Clover and Corey came into the care of the RSPCA from a multicat household of over 50 cats.

They have had very little human interaction, so are quite fearful of people and will hide from them.

Clover and Corey are not displaying behaviours of being typical pet cats, so for this reason, they are looking for an alternative home.

The RSPCA states they will need a secure outbuilding which will provide them with fresh food, water and warmth in the colder months.

The centre adds: "They will need to initially spend approximately four weeks shut inside their new accommodation to enable them to learn where home now is."
