Delays are continuing to build on Athelstan Road
This AA Traffic map shows that delays have stretched back to MaybrayKing Way and Bitterne Road East.

There are also SGN road works being undertaken at the Bitterne Road East and Athelstan Road - adding to delays.
These delays come after a gas leak was reported on Bitterne Road West last night - at around 5pm.
Traffic on Bitterne Road West is being diverted into just one lane near the traffic lights with Athelstan Road.
AA Traffic News is reporting: "Lane closed due to emergency repairs and gas main work on Athelstan Road Southbound from Bitterne Road West to Athelstan Road."
