Two-way traffic lights remain on part of a busy road that runs through Shirley as the finish date for roadworks has been pushed back again.
Residents were first warned on March 2 that Shirley Road would face two weeks of repairs as engineers from the utility company began work to replace 60 metres of old metal gas pipes.
But a section of the road between the junction at Lisbon Road and Kingston Road continues to face on and off temporary lights.
An update on Southampton City Council's interactive traffic map said that the two-way signals would be in place until May 6.
However, the latest information on the map now suggests that the works will continue up until May 12.

The road's footpath is unaffected by these works.
Lisbon Road in Shirley, which is attached to the road, also remains closed due to emergency gas works.
A diversion route is in place, as drivers are being asked to instead go down Kingston Road and follow Park Road to travel around Lisbon Road.
