A hospital waiting room has been transformed with a mural painted by staff.
The mural, painted by a group of dedicated staff at Southampton General Hospital’s research facility, has brightened up a large waiting room.
A donation from Southampton Hospitals Charity, and the volunteers' hard work, has improved the waiting room and the children’s play area.
The waiting room, often hosting up to 50 children on clinic days, now features a lively outdoor scene with colourful birds, some of which are shown with casts and crutches—creating a fun, relatable design for the children.

Their dedication and teamwork reflect the spirit of Southampton General Hospital and the ongoing commitment to improving the patient experience.
The painting took place over the bank holiday weekend, with staff working in their own time.
