The hot weather is set to return to Southampton this weekend as the city is expected to be hotter than Istanbul in Turkey.
April and May has brought sunny skies and warm temperatures to the south coast with hundreds flocking to Lepe Beach, Calshot and Lymington to strip off and soak up the sun.
Southampton and Waterside residents will be pleased to know that the hot weather is expected to return this weekend and even reach 22C on Sunday – hotter than it will be in Istanbul.

A Met Office spokesperson said: “Temperatures are likely to be slightly above normal for the time of year, although there is a chance of some cold nights.”

- Friday – 19C - sunny
- Saturday – 20C - sunny
- Sunday – 22C- sunny
- Monday - 22C - sunny
