It's the family business which has been dispensing affordable eyewear and lenses to thousands of customers for decades.
Solent Spectacles, in Totton, provides an extensive range of glasses, starting at just £25, and also including high-end designer brands such as RayBan, Prada, Vogue, Oakley and D&G.
It was started by Kerry Neilson in the 1980s, ably assisted by his late wife Vivienne.

These days Solent Spectacles is run by their daughter Laura, while sister Claire also works for the business and the third generation often pop in as they are at school nearby.
Every member of the small team is considered family and the team have also become close to a whole host of customers who have been with the business since the beginning.
Laura told the Daily Echo: "Most of our customers have been coming to us for many years and have become friends. They've seen my children and my sister's children grow up and I must be asked about ten times a day how my Dad is. It's lovely!
"Most people enjoy the experience here and we certainly believe in keeping it in the family!
"You've got Specsavers and they will do you something at a good cost. It won't necessarily be as good service as you could get from an independent opticians as their focus is on giving you a budget option.
"Independents will give you more of a bespoke service and good quality but you'll pay through the nose for it.
"We bridge the gap, giving customers a high end lens like the ones you can get in independent opticians but at a huge saving."

It continues to welcome customers with prescriptions to choose from a great range of glasses at a reasonable price.
There's also a while you wait service for anyone not able to be without their glasses.
This even extends to new lenses. Experienced on-site technicians can put new lenses in your existing frames during a 20 minute booked appointment.
