A church positioned on a busy road running through a city district has been listed for sale, 130 years after first becoming active.
The land on Shirley Road has been home to the Seventh-day Adventist Church since September 1895, when they had to move into a new property to meet rising demand.
Estate agents Rapleys has listed the freehold for the church for offers in the region of £700,000.
The main church area can accommodate approximately 150 seats, with the building also being home to various small meeting and committee rooms.

A back hall with a folding room divider can create two areas if needed, typically for Sunday school use.

The building itself dates in part from the early twentieth century but has been extended in a variety of ways over the years, being constructed from a mix of brickwork.
A new boiler has also been installed to service the main church areas.
Rapleys' listing notes that the 3,105-square foot interior boasts timber suspended floors and double glazing throughout.
