A popular garden show in Hampshire has announced a new summer date.

The Garden Show at Broadlands will now take place from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8, from 10am to 5pm, with Sunday closing at 4pm.

The show will feature more than 160 stands displaying specialist plants, garden and home accessories, art, design, sculpture, fashion, toys, and food and wine in the Country Food marquee.

The event is an opportunity to support smaller businesses with unique wares not found on the high street.

Expert garden advice will be available daily from Paul Slater, the show's in-house Gardening Doctor, and from knowledgeable growers at the show.

Paul Slater will also hold a Q&A session on plant selection on Friday.

On Saturday, Dr Ian Bedford, an entomologist, will run a ‘Pest Clinic’ and discuss Britain’s Nature Recovery Plan.

He will also give a talk on ‘Gardens For Nature’ on Saturday.

On Sunday, Jane Sterck, one of the founders of the garden shows, will talk about the show's history and future plans.

The event will also feature a ‘Giant Tombola’ with prizes donated by the Garden Show exhibitors.

Visitors can also hang a wish or memory on the ‘Tree of Life’ in support of the show’s chosen charity, Jane Scarth House.

Children can enjoy entertainment from Crazee Hazee, who will teach circus skills and perform Punch and Judy shows.

There will also be ongoing artisan demonstrations and blacksmithing workshops.

The ‘Jazz Trio’ will provide musical entertainment, and Huxley Birds of Prey will perform.

Adult tickets begin from £10.20 if pre-booked online and more information can be found at thegardenshows.com/broadlands/ or by emailing tickets@thegardenshows.com
